His journey then took a transformative turn as he dedicated himself to establishing 1 Change, an intergenerational organization aimed at improving the health disparities of youth and older adults. His initiative and dedication to this cause have been truly inspiring.
Leonard had led the organization since its inception in 2013 when it started as a community service organization focused on youth development and community enhancement. In 2015, Leonard spearheaded developing and implementing the organization's "Bridging Generations" program. "Bridging Generations" allowed the organization to become a leader in intergenerational programming, bringing youth and seniors together with a focus on educational, health, and social programming. Through Leonard's leadership, Bridging Generations has continued to bring youth and seniors together, and the program has since expanded to its second state. Leonard has helped the organization raise funds for its various programs and community initiatives, allowing 1 Change to sustain its mission. Under his leadership, 1 Change amassed a volunteer base of over 400 youth and adult volunteers and has served over 1000 youth, seniors, and families through its various community programs.

He holds a B.A. degree in Accounting from Randolph-Macon College and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Utica University.
