Nailah Witter

Regarding growing with 1 Change, Nailah is the perfect example. In 2014, she started as the youngest volunteer with the organization at five years old. During her time, she has learned many skills, such as leadership, communication, and teamwork. She has also been a peer leader for all youth volunteers with the organization.

Nailah's involvement with 1 Change is not limited to one program. She has actively participated in every initiative, from Bridging Generations to Virtual Connection. Her leadership was evident in initiatives like feeding the homeless and organizing holiday gift drives for underserved youth. She also contributed to the organization's neighborhood cleanup event, 'Take Pride Where You Reside.'

Nailah's leadership abilities transcend 1 Change. She's won several academic awards and was voted President of her class. These milestones are a testament to 1 Change's impact on Nailah and prove that involving youth early in intergenerational programs will positively affect their character. In 2024, Nailah was promoted to Volunteer Lead due to her commitment to the organization and ability to lead.
