Tara Trivedi

Tara's journey with 1 Change started in 2019 when she signed up with her mother and sister to volunteer for Bridging Generations. Immediately Tara's love for giving back and serving seniors shined through. Tara continued her participation in the program, helping her to gain confidence in her leadership abilities and communication skills.  

Tara was a prime volunteer who helped the organization launch the virtual connection program during COVID-19, allowing youth volunteers to connect with seniors virtually. This helped many seniors emotionally and socially during trying times while volunteers developed morality and communication skills. Tara's musical talent, which she shared by playing instruments during the program, significantly improved the social wellness of the senior participants. 

Tara's ability to be different and express ideas to improve the organization led to her being recognized as a Volunteer Lead and receiving the prestigious 2023 Volunteer of the Year Award.
